Submit a Referral
Submit a referral through ABC Homecare Services' website or contact our office at 219-301-2520 to get started.

Await Your Program Decision
Follow the review process and watch for official notification regarding your application, eligibility determination, or waitlist status.

Respond to Your Invitation
Review your invitation letter, follow the instructions provided, and return the required response forms by the stated deadline.

Work With an Options Counselor
Discuss your Medicaid coverage and next steps, including obtaining coverage or connecting with a Managed Care Entity when applicable.

Begin the Next Waiver Steps
Work with the appropriate Options Counselor to understand and complete the next steps toward obtaining the applicable waiver.

Establish Care Management
Follow the applicable PathWays or Health & Wellness process to connect with the appropriate care management organization.

Connect With the Appropriate Providers
Coordinate with the appropriate organizations and providers to begin authorized services, including ABC's non-medical in-home care where applicable.
Questions Families Ask Most
1. Do you accept Medicaid?
Yes— we work with Indiana’s Medicaid waiver programs for home and community‑based services.
2. How soon can services begin?
Once the state approves your hours and you choose a provider, services can usually start within a couple of weeks. For private pay clients, care can often begin even sooner.
3. What is in-home care?
In-home care provides non-medical support, including personal care, toileting assistance, mobility help, transfers, light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and companionship — all delivered in the comfort of your own home.
